What services does Unfolding Body offer?
Unfolding Body provides Osteopathy, The Gyrotonic method, and movement education to support health, wellness, and professional training.
Where is Unfolding Body located?
We are located in Cumberland, British Columbia. The entrance is on 2nd street at the corner of Penrith Avenue. Look for the big yellow building.
How can I book a session?
Sessions can be booked through our online booking system, or by email.
What should I expect during my first Osteopathy session?
During your first Osteopathy session, Rebecca will ask you about your health history, then she will conduct a full body assessment, followed by treatment. At the end of the treatment she will share a care plan that may include specific exercises and follow up treatment.
Is The Gyrotonic method suitable for beginners?
Yes, The Gyrotonic method is suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.
Do I need a referral to book an Osteopathy or Gyrotonic session?
No referral is necessary. You can book a session directly with us.
What are the benefits of movement education?
Movement education helps improve body awareness, posture, flexibility, and overall physical function.
Do you offer professional training programs?
Yes, we provide The Gyrokinesis Method Teacher Training Program.
What should I wear to my sessions?
Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows for free movement.
Are there any health conditions that may prevent me from participating?
Please discuss any medical conditions with us prior to booking. Some conditions might require consultation with a healthcare professional before starting treatment.
What are your cancellation and rescheduling policies?
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid fees.
Do you accept insurance for Osteopathy treatments?
Osteopathy is not currently covered by MSP. Many extended health insurance plans cover Osteopathy. Please check with your provider to see if Osteopathy is included in your plan. We will provide you with a receipt which you can submit to your provider.
